ROCKVILLE, Md. (ABC7) — How do you go from selling ping pong tables to face masks in under 3 weeks?

Just ask Richard Lee who’s Rockville, Maryland company Joola is now distributing millions OF FDA registered protective masks to hospitals and businesses across the nation.

Lee says it was his sister who first tipped him off to the idea. “She has friends in New York working on the front line and she was telling me they don’t have what they need.”

Siblings: Richard & Vivian Lee

With an office already setup in China, he used his table tennis factory production connections to source masks to the United States.

Now, they are using their break room in Rockville to package and ship to hospitals and other businesses looking to protect their staff.

Lee hopes that soon they’ll be able to get back to what they’re known for which is selling table tennis products. “If there something more that we can do, we will do our best for that. Right now it’s such a strange time and we don’t know how long this will last for,” says Lee.
